RYC - be careful picking out a travel companion. Bob the Dinosaur folds up easily and is quite portable, but since he's fluorescent green, he really can't be clandestine. Find something incredibly stupid that means something to the two of you. (And then buy two of them so you have a backup. We have a "spare Bob" in case the original Bob runs away from home.)
The legend of Bob... Gary and I were bored and causing mischief at Ikea. In the kids' section, they had these horribly cheezy looking puppets, and Gary was instantly attached to a purple pig one. I went back to Ikea two weeks later, to buy the purple pig for Valentine's Day...and they were OUT! So, I bought us matching dinosaurs instead.
